Cultural Catastrophe with Anime

A little sum-up of 'cultural problems' in anime.

Naruto doomsday scenario as I claimed to think Kakashi's cool.

Response: He is a perv, you know that!
Me (puzzled): Shonen Jump doesn't show that..huh? Isn't that the ninja book that he is reading?
Response: Those books are Playboy Mags, or FHM, or something related.
Me (more confused): What> maybe it is censorship laws.

This leads to a frustrated Gothchyld investigating the 'cultural problems' of Naruto.

Indeed, in Shonen Jump (US teen-rated magazine), Kakashi's perv personality is slimmered down to meet 'teen' restrictions. As a result, Shonen Jump's popularity poll have a HIGH 11,099 votes on Kakashi as the most popular character. Aw, everyone is probably after his Shiranga.

This will also go the same for China-made DVDs, where the 'book covers' are usually pocket-sized with ninja looks. Chinese authorities must have made a huge effort to change all the book covers to maintain teens' healthy morals.

Since US and China portray Kakashi differently, any Naruto discussions, it is best to address him as the Americanized/Chinese version or the Japanese version.

Although I must confess, there's nothing wrong thinking Kakashi's Shangrian is mega cool..until...you see Sasuke have 2 Shangrian eyes, howver, you will not know that he has the disitnct eyes. His Bro, howevr, is a lot way stronger and has two visible Shangrian eyes. (Credits to Q, who watches Naruto 24/7 compared to Gothchyld's 1 hour intake per day.)

* Shangrian- red eye which enables ninjas to manipulate their opponents' tricks.
